With military and law enforcement families on staff, our firm is highly sensitive to the demands, stress, and potential negative effects on interpersonal relationships that people with careers in the service fields may face.

Attorney Paul McConnell was an active-duty Marine officer for 14 years. He served many roles, including rifle platoon commander, infantry officer, defense counsel, claims attorney, prosecutor, trial judge, circuit judge, and deputy chief trial judge. During the first Gulf War, Paul served as an operations officer in Afghanistan. In 2008 he led a delegation to Baghdad, Iraq. His decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal, the Navy Achievement Medal, the Combat Action Ribbon, and the District of Connecticut’s “Standing Tall” award.

In addition, our Office Manager Lauren Windish is married to a retired police officer, and Gina Dezi’s father is an Army veteran.
