About Attorney Donna Convicer
Attorney Donna Convicer is a highly experienced Divorce Mediator, Family Law Attorney, and Collaborative Divorce Counselor. Attorney Convicer has been through her own divorce and understands the pain and emotions that come with a dissolution of marriage. Attorney Convicer also knows the financial side of divorce and the difficulties that clients face when they are suddenly alone to face major decisions that have to be made. Attorney Convicer is the mother of three children who suffered through the impact of their parents’ divorce. Even in the best of situations, there is the loss of a family unit which is never easy.
Attorney Convicer believes that it is always best, if possible, to mediate or collaborate regarding divorce and custody issues. This includes Post-Judgment matters which can arise after a divorce is finalized. Attorney Convicer understands that Mediation and Collaborative Divorce is not for every couple. She has extensive experience in custody cases, contempt matters, financial disputes, and other divorce issues. Attorney Convicer has dealt with novel and complex issues that have little or no precedent. These have included questions about inheritance division, parental incarceration, and various incidents of fraud.
Attorney Convicer also believes that her clients should understand every aspect of their divorce and that they should be informed about the Family laws in the State of Connecticut concerning the particular issues of their case. There are many complex issues associated with divorce, including custody, parenting time schedules, alimony analysis, determination of marital assets, marital asset division, retirement account division, and related considerations. Attorney Convicer works with a team of child psychologists, financial counselors, business evaluators, retirement account and pension division attorneys, and other related professionals as needed in each situation.
Attorney Convicer works with clients who want to engage in Marital Mediation. This allows a couple to stay married while working out the issues that are causing them to consider divorce.
Attorney Convicer is part of the McConnell Family Law Team which is committed to representing individuals with passion and purpose.
Before joining McConnell Family Law Group, Attorney Convicer was in private practice for several years in which she represented clients in Family Law cases, focusing on Mediation and children-related issues.
